Secret Session - US Congress

In March this year the US Congress met in a “secret session”. This is the 4th time in 176 years that such a session has been held, so they are obviously called only for matters of the utmost importance or urgency. One congressman, Denis Kucinich, a professed Christian, was brave enough to stand up and question the reason for this session. You can tell from his tone that he senses the gravity of the situation.

Only one newspaper that I can tell, from Brisbane of all places, carried a report of a leaked agenda from the meeting.

In light of the developments in recent days of the economic crisis in America, the first prediction from this report, that the US economy would collapse by late 2008, has already started to come true. We can only hope and pray that the rest of the predictions, including the fear of civil war, do not eventuate.

What can we do from Australia? We can only pray the Lord will have his hand on our believing US brothers and sisters and that they are strengthened to endure, whatever happens. What effect will a collapsed US have on Australia? I believe this will be greater than we realize.
